From the South - approaching Firth of Clyde

Approaching up the Firth of Clyde with the island of Arran of your port side, the southern most channel between Little Cumbrae and the main land is your best approach to Fairlie Quay pier.

Caution should be taken whilst passing the Hunterston terminal on your starboard side due to the maneuvering of large ships and tug activity related to this.

Once past the giant cranes of Hunterston Fairlie Quay pier is visible on your starboard side. On approach to the pontoons around the North end of the pier, stay within the buoyed channel whilst making your way to the pontoons.
